The first two (2) MET Opera Live shows at the Douglass Theatre on Oct 22 and Nov 5 have been rescheduled to show as ENCORE shows.

The encore dates:
MEDEA-[Oct 29 at 1:00p]
LA TRAVIATA-[Nov 12 at 1:00p]

Due to delays in supply chains related to receiving the proper equipment from the MET Opera to broadcast live -- and our first opera happening on October 22, the Douglass Theatre will be offering the first 2 shows (Oct 22 and Nov 5) as encore performances for our patrons.

We apologize for any inconvenience and anticipate being back online for live broadcasting of the MET Opera shows by December 10th for "The Hours."

6:30 pm: HBCU Homecoming Experience

The ULTIMATE HBCU Homecoming event of the year!   Alumni & Friends are invited to come and "Rep his/her HBCU" in a spades tournament or simply enjoy a classic games night that includes: Dominoes, Black Jeopardy, and Bid Whist.  There will be music (DJ), refreshments, and a beer & wine bar. The NPHC: Macon-Middle GA Council  has partnered with The Douglass The event is to help help raise funds for the Douglass Theatre's HBCU Art Series Student Scholarship, which is awarded annually to future HBCU bound students; and also an opportunity for folk to learn more about the HBCU Arts Series initiative and join the planning committee.
