The director interviews his friend, Amin, who endured years of horror after fleeing Afghanistan with his family in the 1990s following the Taliban takeover. Flashbacks to Amin’s experiences are mixed in with his current life that is filled with uncertainties surrounding his relationship with his partner, Kasper, who is ready to settle down. Flee tells the story of a man’s need to confront his past in order to truly have a future.
